§05The load-bearing distinction

§06How the matrix is maintained
Every row on the matrix has a filed date. Any change to a row — a source moved, a grade updated, a new primary added — is filed as a new event with its own date, and the previous state of the row is retained in the row’s history. The preservation rule at editorial policy (LCCBCC-EP-028) rule 3 governs: uncomfortable results are preserved, not deleted.
Rows are added when a new independent primary is filed for a claim, or when a new claim is admitted under the source-provenance discipline. Rows are not removed; if a source is retracted, its row is marked retracted with the date, not deleted.
